The National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame celebrated its 25th annual Induction and Awards Dinner on Wednesday June 1 at the Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers in New York City.
This year's inductees include the brothers Gibb (Barry, Maurice and Robin), R&B greats Otis Redding and Lionel Richie, and Carly Simon. Special Award recipients include Irving Caesar (the Johnny Mercer Award), Buddy Morris (the Abe Olman Publisher Award), Lena Horne (the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award) and Philip Dusenberry (the Patron of the Arts Award).
