The 19th annual Award and Induction Dinner of The National Academy of Popular Music/Songwriters Hall of Fame was again held in New York City in 1988.
Inducted this year were Leroy Anderson, Noel Coward, Lamont Dozier, and Brian and Edward Holland. Award recipients included Buddy Killen (Abe Olman Publisher Award), Dick Clark (the Sammy Cahn Lifetime Achievement Award), Martin Segal (the Patron of the Arts Award) and Stanley Adams (the Board of Directors Award).
