Primo the Alien was a 2021 ACL Festival Artist. Her recent single “Do It Again” landed two Spotify editorial playlists, and her song, “My Delorean,” boasts 2 million Spotify streams.
Primo was named in Billboard Magazine as one of Tunecore’s hot 100 artists to watch. Primo is a 2022 Austin Music Awards Best Pop Artist nominee, a 2021 Black Fret Artist, and was nominated by the Austin Chronicle as Best Electronic Artist.
Primo’s most recent EP, “Heart on the Run,” was #1 on the Bandcamp Pop Charts the day after its release.
Primo is a 2018, 2019, 2020, and 2022 SXSW official performer and has served as support for Ghostland Observatory, The Midnight, FM-84, BLK Odyssey, Mobley, Torres, Sarah Jaffe, and Timecop1983. Her music has been featured on the CW Austin, KUTX, KVUE, KXAN, 101X, and KOOP.
As Laura Lee Bishop, Primo is a two-time American Idol Golden Ticket Recipient and a graduate of the Clive Davis School of Recorded Music at NYU.
