Jamie Harrison Jones

Songwriters of Tomorrow Scholarship, 2020

“A teen with a dream” from Brooklyn, Jamie Harrison Jones is currently a senior at Wadleigh Secondary School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Harlem.

During her four years of high school, she sang the leading role of Ti Moune in her school's production of "Once on this Island." She has written several songs in her high school music class, and three of them were chosen to be performed at Carnegie Hall.

After high school, she intends to go to college and get a business degree to learn about the business side of sustaining a career in music. She looks upon the Songwriters of Tomorrow Scholarship as a chance to show how a teenager from East New York Brooklyn can change the world.
