Jackson Mansfield

NYU Steinhardt Songwriting Scholar Award, 2023

Jackson Mansfield is a songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist from Maryland. A classically trained pianist from the age of six, he began writing music at fourteen with his band, The Obsessives. In over a decade of experience in the studio and on the road, he cultivated a deep love for songwriting and producing. In 2021, Jackson moved to New York City to pursue a degree in Songwriting at New York University’s Steinhardt School. As a current student and collaborator, Jackson continues to hone his skills and develop his unique voice. His distinctive but accessible musical style, along with his synthesis of organic and electronic instruments allow his compositions and productions to capture ears across genres including rock, pop, indie, and folk. Jackson is currently working on a solo album while producing and writing for multiple up-and-coming NYC artists.
