Dru Oliver (BMI)

Curtis Mayfield Scholarship Award, 2023

Never calling any one place “home” has afforded Drü Oliver the opportunity to view the world through a different lens—both artistically and musically. While his favorite color is red, Drü paints his music in shades of blue. Having vocal produced for the likes of Kehlani (nominated for a Grammy), SZA, Lil' TJay and the late Mac Miller and PnB Rock and received writer credits for artists such as Dani Leigh, Justin Skye, Lil TJay, Riley Lanez, Young Devyn, Prince Royce, Jeleel and most recently Fivio Foreign's certified Gold single "What's My Name" feat. Queen Naija and Coi Leray, Drü’s background is firmly rooted in the heart of the studio. In addition to being an integral part of countless gold and platinum records, he has also secured synch placements with major companies such as Viacom (BET’s Sacrifice) and Dreamworks (Bearbrick). Behind the boards, behind the mic, or behind the pen; in music, Drü Oliver is certainly making himself right at home even as a Knowmad.
