Bio

Miranda Tonsetic is a singer songwriter from Alexandria, VA. She began writing songs after co-founding the all-female band, Indigo Thursday with peers Madeline Cantrell, Eliza Gwin, Sofie Keppler, and Heath Russell. The band would go on to play at venues across the DMV area such as Union Stage, Jammin Java, and Pearl Street. Miranda takes inspiration from artists such as Patty Griffin, Alanis Morisette, and John Mayer.

In her writing, she aims to find new ways to express shared feelings and ideas, making an old concept feel unique and refreshed. She aims to combine catchy melodies with thoughtful lyricism and hopes that you will find the same release in her songs that she felt while writing them. As an NYU sophomore, Miranda was chosen to represent NYU’s first Arts Impact Initiative alongside Paul Stookey from the legendary Peter, Paul, and Mary. In New York, she has played at venues such as Bowery Electric, The Bitterend, Mercury Lounge, and Berlin. Her first single “Call Her” was released in January 2025.

Miranda wants to thank her family, professors, and friends for their endless support.
