Cal Stamp is an American singer-songwriter. Taking cues from enduring icons like Tom Petty and Don Henley, Cal writes songs that showcase his fresh slant on a classic formula: vintage guitar work, sing-along choruses, and character-driven lyrics about lovers and losers. His sophomore record, Play It Cool, is set to arrive later this summer via The Orchard.
In addition to his solo efforts, Cal was the guitarist and a principal songwriter for Record Heat (f/k/a Spirit Animal), who signed to Atlantic Records in 2018.
Cal has toured the U.S. extensively, sharing the stage with acts like America, The Struts, Fitz & the Tantrums, Third Eye Blind, Incubus, and The Cult. As a member of Record Heat, Cal has received major attention from a variety of high-profile media outlets, including Rolling Stone, Entertainment Weekly, The Washington Post, Billboard, MTV, Alternative Press, Consequence of Sound, and Interview Magazine.
Cal lives in Brooklyn, NY.
