Writers Workshop Welcomes TheTapMusic.com

The Writers Workshop enjoyed a visit from Jarrett Cato, Music Supervisor, VP of TheTapMusic.com.

The Tap Music is a music research and licensing company that has been behind some of the most memorable and successful music-brand pairings in advertising history.  Specializing in broadcast commercial placements, Internet and TV, The Tap Music has licensed music for regional, national, and international campaigns including the “Desert Rose” Jaguar TV campaign featuring Sting. They are a non-exclusive organization that actively pitches music from all sources; this includes the latest major record label releases as well as the unsolicited (but always welcome) EP mailings from unsigned artists. Music licensing was the theme of this workshop with questions answered and music pitched.  Jarrett explained what makes for a great song and recording for placements in advertising.
