Songwriter/producer extraordinaires Bryan-Michael Cox and Nate “Danja” Hills shared top honors when both were named Songwriter of the Year at SESAC’s 11th annual New York Music Awards held May 10th at Manhattan’s gorgeous Lighthouse at Chelsea Piers. The shared Songwriter of the Year distinction marks a first for the awards event.
Cox also took home another of the evening’s big accolades, along with Jason Perry, earning the Song of the Year award for his smash hit, “Be Without You,” as recorded by Mary J. Blige.
