Songwriter/producer Nate “Danja” Hills took home top honors when he was named Songwriter of the Year at SESAC’s 12th annual New York Music Awards held May 8 at Manhattan’s gorgeous Chelsea Piers. The award was in recognition of his astonishing array of hits in the last year including smashes by Nelly Furtado, Justin Timberlake, Timbaland and 50 Cent. Hills also was the recipient of another of the evening’s big accolades earning the Song of the Year award for his smash hit, “Say It Right,” as recorded by Nelly Furtado.
