It was standing room only at the March 23rd SongHall Networking Meeting at Shetler Studios. Songwriters, artists and producers attended and mingled from the moment doors opened at 6PM. The evening included a feature presentation by music industry attorney Peter M. Thall who was on hand to discuss and sign copies of his Random House paperback edition, What They’ll Never Tell You About The Music Business, The Myths, The Secrets, The Lies (& A Few Truths). A lively Q & A period followed as it became apparent how important a working knowledge of the legal aspects of the music business is for every songwriter! The SongHall programs, showcases and workshops were discussed and information about PRO’s ASCAP, BMI and SESAC was distributed. The SongHall’s goal is to help make connections, and new songwriting teams, artist / producer associations and great music come from the Networking Meetings.
