This workshop will cover the “song” (melody, structure, lyrics) from the viewpoints of a music publisher, a music supervisor for film and television, and a record company A&R rep. Topics covered will include publishing and performing rights organizations (ASCAP, BMI, SESAC); packaging and marketing (bios, photos, press kits), copyrighting and networking. A high-level industry executive will be a special guest who will speak about the current state of the music business and listen to songs by workshop attendees. Begins September 26th – 6:30pm-8:30pm
