BMI composers swept the 10th Annual World Soundtrack Awards, held Saturday, October 23 as the celebratory conclusion of the 37th Ghent International Film Festival. Alexandre Desplat (SACEM) earned the Film Composer of the Year crown thanks to his sublime work on films including Julie & Julia, The Ghost Writer, The Twilight Saga: New Moon and Fantastic Mr. Fox, the last of which also garnered Desplat his second consecutive Best Original Film Score of the Year win.
