Nominations for the 49th Annual Grammy Awards were announced Thursday, December 7, 2006 in Los Angeles.
Mary J. Blige tops the list with a total of eight nominations. Among other ASCAP members with multiple nods are: Dixie Chicks, John Mayer, Danger Mouse, Prince and Rick Rubin with five each, and Beyoncé, Gnarls Barkley and Justin Timberlake with four apiece.
The 49th Grammy Awards will be held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on February 11, 2007.
