Prices are about to increase for the 2008 ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO, the
only major national conference dedicated to songwriting and composing, set
for April 10-12, 2008 at the Renaissance Hollywood Hotel in Los Angeles,
CA. Songwriters Hall of Fame Members who act before November 1st can
register for the conference at the low price of $250 – that’s $200 off the
full cost of registration! (Songwriters Hall of Fame Members who are also
members of ASCAP get an additional $25 discount).
Past EXPOs sold out quickly, so don’t wait to register. The 2008 EXPO is
an essential experience for any music creator, providing three days of
education, innovation and inspiration. At the ASCAP “I Create Music” EXPO,
you will:
· Gain knowledge, skills and insight through dynamic panels and
genre-specific career-building sessions
· Engage in writing and producing workshops and master classes with top
songwriters, composers and producers
· Learn about new avenues for marketing and promoting your music

Plus, as a bonus, 500 One-on-One Sessions with a songwriter/composer, music
publisher, record company executive, Film/TV music executive, online
marketing expert, music attorney, or ASCAP executive are available on a
first-come, first-served basis. These One-on-One Sessions have been
valuable opportunities for participants at the past two ASCAP EXPOs, and
have therefore become increasingly popular. To give more attendees the
opportunity to have one of these 15 minute One-on-One Sessions, in 2008
there will be a $25 processing fee. This way those with the strongest
interest and commitment to the sessions will have the chance to take
advantage of them. We do expect them to fill up. To be clear, not all Early
Bird Registrants will receive a session, so register quickly to be
guaranteed a session!
