The goal is to strengthen the songwriting skill-set and bring the emerging writer closer to the music industry through workshop sessions with hit songwriters and industry professionals in publishing, music licensing and A&R. There will be a Q&A period with each professional to enable students to gain the insights of the songwriter and the industry. Participants will begin working on a new song that will be shared with the workshop in its development, to be completed and performed during our 8th session. Each participant will have been selected for this workshop on the basis of two of their original songs submitted in advance (see requirements below). Fee: $275 for Members
To qualify for pre-registration: Please attach and email two (2) of your original song mp3s (or mail a CD) with accompanying lyric sheets to Peter Bliss at: [email protected]. They will be reviewed by the SongHall and you will be contacted regarding your acceptance into this workshop. The level of production is not as important a factor as the song itself though the recording quality should be clear with a vocal and lyric that is well presented. These songs will be played in the workshop for our guests.
