This year marks the 10th anniversary of “A Conversation With 2026 Oscar®-Nominated Songwriters,” SHOF’s premiere educational virtual event held during awards season. The illustrious panel includes Oscar nominees Bryce Dessner ("Train Dreams” from Train Dreams), EJAE ("Golden" from KPop Demon Hunters), Nicholas Pike ("Sweet Dreams of Joy" from Viva Verdi!), Raphael Saadiq ("I Lied to You" from Sinners), and SHOF inductee Diane Warren ("Dear Me" from Diane Warren: Relentless).
The intimate discussion was moderated by legendary songwriters and Songwriters Hall of Fame inductees Nile Rodgers, who currently serves as Songwriters Hall of Fame Chairman, and SHOF Board Member Paul Williams, a SHOF Johnny Mercer Award honoree and 1977 Academy Award winner for Best Original Song for “Evergreen.” During the filmed program, the nominees engaged in a lively discussion about how they got here, their writing process and collaborations, the challenges and differences of writing for a film (versus a song for a recording artist), and much more.
