As Vice President, Writer Publisher and Industry Relations, based in New York, Charlie Feldman directs writer/publisher relations activities in the Classical, Theater and Jazz departments as well as maintaining and forging relationships with the music community and the business community at large.
Feldman, who joined BMI in 1988 from EMI Music Publishing, was promoted to Vice President in 1992. He has worked closely with such songwriters as The Neville Brothers, Tony Joe White, Holland/Dozier/Holland, Carole King, R. Kelly, Rihanna, Hall and Oates and Full Force, to name a few.
Feldman is a past Trustee of The Recording Academy and is a two-time New York Chapter past president and he currently serves on the New York Chapter Board. He also serves as a Vice Chairman of the Entertainment Media Division of UJA-Federation, a board member of T.J. Martell Foundation and a board member of The Songwriters Hall of Fame. He is a member of the Country Music Association, AIMP and the Academy of Country Music. Feldman received his Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Alabama in 1971. He and his wife live in Scarsdale, New York.
