Jason Yudoff - You Should Be My Girl

Following up his critically acclaimed debut album “Smoke Sex Water”, New York City native Jason Yudoff has just released his second studio album, a 12-track disc entitled “Tragic Hero”. Produced by the enigmatic Ron Thaler and mastered by the legendary, Grammy-winning Scott Hull (Steely Dan, John Mayer, David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Herbie Hancock), this sophomore effort delivers wicked grooves, soulful vibes, vintage sounds, tasty melodies, and introspective lyrics about life, love, and loss.

Tragic Hero has already begun to attract attention. Due to a special pre-release date for eligibility, it was selected to the Official 2008 Grammy Ballot in 4 categories - including Album of the Year, Record of the Year (Personal Addict) and Best New Artist. Jason was chosen to perform at the Songwriters Hall Of Fame New Writers Showcase and he has been the featured artist on PayPlay.com, Woozyfly.com, Indie-Music.com, FashionWeekDaily, and AVProductionWorld. He has been interviewed on both radio and television, performing twice on the nationally-syndicated Joey Reynolds Show. Jason is also actively supporting Tragic Hero on both coasts - rocking shows in sublime Los Angeles venues like The House of Blues, The Mint and The Derby to complement his electric NYC performances at Pianos, Knitting Factory, Arlene’s Grocery, and The Bitter End.

About Tragic Hero, legendary rock drummer Carmine Appice (Vanilla Fudge, Rod Stewart, Jeff Beck) says: “Great voice, killer keys, interesting grooves… Soulful songs, old school - as they should be!” Peter Bliss from SHOF raves: “In the tradition of our time-honored keyboard player/singers - Jason lends his humor, his voice, groove and passion to a great set of original songs. Smart and funky, catchy and compelling - a great listen!” And WOR radio and television personality Joey Reynolds states simply: “Just terrific!” Jason had a feature show on NPR, and was highlighted as one of Keyboard Magazine’s Best Unsigned Artists, calling Jason’s grooves “Party music of the highest order!!” Check out http://www.jasonyudoff.com for all the latest news, tour dates, videos, pics, and music!
