Malcolm Singleton - Counting On You

Malcolm Singleton simply loves music. How else do you explain a young man who admits to such diverse influences as Coldplay and Dean Martin?

Emerging from the same rich soil as the musical tradition of nearby Muscle Shoals, Alabama, Malcolm’s love of all things musical began early in life.

He began playing drums at the age of ten and ventured over to the guitar three years later. He joined his first band in the seventh grade and it wasn’t long before he discovered his passion for live performance.

Over the next several years, Malcolm began to incorporate his original songs into his sets. He has been a featured performer at the Muscle Shoals Songwriters’ Showcase, one of the area’s most prominent venues. Malcolm has also seen his songs score in the competitive arena. Two of his award-winning songs, “Counting On You” and “I’m Over You” are included on his debut EP, “This Feeling”.

He is also widely known as an artist willing to lend a helping hand. He has volunteered his talents to various causes such as Make-A-Wish, St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, the Diabetes Foundation, the Children’s Miracle Network, and the American Cancer Society.

In addition to writing and recording original music, Malcolm maintains a very active schedule. He gigs regularly throughout the Southeast, having performed on esteemed stages such as Nashville’s famous Bluebird Café and hip clubs Fuel, Lyrix and The Flying Saucer. He has also played around Boston, hitting area hotspots The Burren, The Lizard Lounge, All Asia and The Music Performance Center at The Berklee College of Music. He has recently started making his mark on the NYC music scene with solid performances at venues such as Googie’s Lounge at The Living Room, The Cutting Room, and The Bitter End.

Currently in the final mixing stage on the follow-up to his successful debut EP, “This Feeling”, Malcolm is poised for breakthrough success!
